Corrections Policy

Corrections Policy

Last Updated: April 14, 2026

Goodmunity is committed to accuracy in all our reporting. When we make errors, we correct them promptly and transparently. This policy outlines how we handle corrections, updates, and clarifications.

Our Commitment

We take accuracy seriously. Despite rigorous fact-checking, errors can occur. When they do, we believe in correcting them openly rather than silently editing published content. Our readers deserve to know when and how our reporting has been updated.

Types of Updates

Corrections

A correction is issued when a factual error is identified in a published article. This includes incorrect names, figures, dates, attributions, or other material facts. Corrections are noted at the top or bottom of the article with a clear label: “Correction [Date]:” followed by a description of what was changed.

Updates

An update is added when new information becomes available after publication that materially changes or adds to the story. Updates are noted with: “Update [Date]:” followed by the new information.

Clarifications

A clarification is issued when the original reporting was not incorrect but may have been misleading or lacked necessary context. Clarifications are noted with: “Clarification [Date]:” followed by the additional context.

How to Report an Error

If you believe you have found an error in our reporting, please contact us:

  • Email: hello@goodmunity.com with “Correction Request” in the subject line
  • Include: The article URL, the specific error, and supporting evidence or sources

We review all correction requests within 24 hours and will respond to confirm receipt and outline next steps.

Correction Process

  1. Review: Our editorial team reviews the reported error and verifies it against original sources.
  2. Correction: If confirmed, the article is updated with the correct information and a correction notice is added.
  3. Notification: The person who reported the error is notified of the correction.
  4. Documentation: All corrections are logged internally for editorial quality tracking.

What We Do Not Change

We do not remove articles or alter published content at the request of subjects who disagree with accurate reporting. We do not alter quotes that were accurately recorded. We do not change editorial opinions or analysis based on external pressure.
